Zizek; super capitalism on decline

Elon Musk wants to send people to Mars and  even start a colony there,

He has also launched a satellite; Starlink

I call this super capitalism that may be capitalism on its peak.

Zizek, the philosopher seems to mean this in this Video:

But what will come after that phase?

well, the late capitalism may also be a peak for a masculine phase.

In that so it may be slow decline.

Anyway more and more women creates great jazz-albums nowadays :

Here´s a good example - many listeners have noticed the space in the tunes Jasmine Myra composes.

The weight of thoughts

Image
The title above relates to a sculpture by Thomas LeRooy:  When we meditate we try to make the thoughts be fewer. Its seems impossible to totally stop them. If we focus of something else, as the breathe or  a mantra we can reduce them. very skilled meditators can do meditate without any focus.  It is said that experienced meditators can reach a higher kind of consciousness that make them loose desires and thoughts for a very long time.  Of course you also can shift from different kind of meditation. If you are beginner is good to start with training concentration. You can do it while walking or eating breakfast too. Don't let the mobile phone or radio disturb you. Here you can learn about different kind of meditations, some of may indicate that time and space, as Kant pointed out, is an illusion (even though an illusion we cant live without). Ruben Laukkonen is looking at meditation in both an scientific and practical way. ( You can find his Doctoral Thesis online): ...

Interbeing in the small world and in the world of monastics

I know, you shouldn't mix up the quantum world with "our" world. But Rovelli, the theoretical physicists, seems to do it. He anyway describes the quantum world in this way; "Quantum mechanism teaches us not ti think about the world in terms of `things` which are in this or that state but in terms of `processes`instead. A process is the passage from one interaction to another. The properties of  `things`manifest themselves in a granular manner only in the moment of interaction, that is to say, at the edges of the processes and are such only in relation to other things.....an electron is nowhere when it is not interacting" (from the book Reality is not what it seems) Yesterday I met five monastics in the Buddhist tradition of Thich Nhat Hanh. They gave us lay people meditations and we shared some questions to them. In the eyes of Rovelli and Buddha, we all interacted, even when we meditated. Maybe some of us lay people meditated in a deeper way than som...

To grieve

Image
All of us will, sooner or later, have sorrows. Some of us will fall very deep. Pills may help. Mindfulness may help. But its important to not let the sorrow stay just inside. Joanne Cacciatore tells about the days after she had lost a child. A priest with some followers came to her home. Her sorrow was to big, she just wept. And the only thing the priest said was, "we will pray for you". He never showed up again. What Cacciatore was people that stayed with her, could hold her and listen to her She is now works as a helper for grieving people. And her messing is ; listen and listen and speak. It takes tomes for the wounds to heal. But a lot of them do.... Even if some scares remain. She has written a book about her work; Here she is; We all have to find our own ways to go along with pain in the soul and body. in the long end we cannot avoid pain and death... But we can prepare ourselves. We can accept the facts. We can be with the ...
