We are such stuff that dreams are made on

Prospero's speech at the end of The Tempest could be Shakespeare's own view.

It is said that he was a melancholy man. At least he was influenced by of the very violent time he was born into

He wrote The Tempest at his hometown He had returned to Stratford-upon-Avon for the last years of his life. And Prospero is said to be his Alter Ego.

Carlo  Rovelli ends another speech in England, but nearer in time, with Prosperos's words.
Rovelli  reveals, in this iaitv speech, that time is not a straight arrow to the future, instead we are living, not in dream, but it in the web of spacetime.
The structure of reality is like a fabric that makes waves and bends.
Here's Rovelli at iaitv

And when you can hear Shakespeare's words at YouTube  in a new video, it's a kind of bending of time, isn't it?

Time goes a little bit slower at the surface of the Earth than one meter above it, because  spacetime is bending toward our planet.

As you can see Rovelli would like  give a model of reality with this example:

Everything comes from nothing and becomes something for a little while.  Photons and electrons just exist when they interact with something...(Rovelli is a  theoretical-physician. in quantum physics)

Our short life is rounded buy a sleep, both before and after it.

So short the time is that we live, compared to the eons when we don't live.

But since everything living on Earth are related we may in some way live in the future generations too.

And if we have no central or permanent self we are more of manifestations of the Universe.

At least we are connected to the whole galaxy.
The middle of the Milky Way is related to the whole galaxy. There is black hole. And astronomers have found out that big galaxies have big  black holes in the middle and small galaxies have small holes there. So there are some relations between the black holes in the middle and the rest of the galaxy.

The reality is often more fantastic than our fantasy can imagine.

A new "Einstein" may anyway show us some of it.

Meanwhile we can be mindfully now and here....
And that's a subjective view, since another person may have another now and here; it's for instance soon morning in Vietnam, but here in Sweden its soon nighttime.

And since time is constantly moving, there may be no now, just a fabric of dreams and spacetime.

Here's Rovelli in another short speech about time (it may not exist at all!):
