Fingers, ice and octopuses - what a mix!

Its getting warmer in Stockholm.
The ice paints nice art together with the water which can be seen from the many bridges.

Of course the ice cannot choose the form of the paintings.
It's depending on the wind, the temperature and the water etcetera.

But how much can we choose?

It seems to be so that the length on the fingers indicates how much serotonin you got in  your mothers womb.
Though this statement is must be taken generally and not for everyone, and it can change when we learn more.

But it seems whe cannot choose to be heterosexual or homosexual. But even in some countries in Europe, as Macedonia, its very hard for homosexuals. We are somewhat programmed.

We cannot choose much of our talents and our personality.
In that sense we are like the ice.

When Dewey Redman, the saxophonist, visited  John Coltrane he saw Coltrane's long fingers and they started to have a conversation about fingers and saxophone skills. You cannot change the length on your fingers, but when Redman asked Coltrane about the secret behind his skills, he didn't  talk about that fingers.  He said; practise.

And I think that grit is dependent on the culture; if you see a person with grit you may be inspired.
It's true for refugees here too, even if your swedish not are so good, you can train it a lot.
You can be as  determined Zlatan, even if  you come from  poor circumstances.
As a kid Zlatan was inspired by  the older Ronaldo, from Brazil.

So, as a specie we are a little bit special, but some other species also learn from each other, like
octopuses. Even though they look like aliens they often act like we do. They actually have two "legs" too.
Maybe it's good for them to have long tentacles. They are anyway playful and curious.

For octopuses we are the ones that behave like terrible aliens. I once saw a fisherman hit an octopus to the dock, one time after another in what seened to be an eternity.
The octopuses actually paralyze  prey before they capture it, so they seem to be a bit smarter than we are. Im sure they can learn grit from each other too.

Nowadays we can choose to not eat animals, or at least kill fish and animals in faster way. We now know that they can feel pain and stress.

Our brains are programmed to prioritize food before moral.
But most of us no longer starve.  More of us are too fat, than too thin, Our brain may slowly adapt to this, but it will take a long time.

I have great hope for our future as I have seen many vegetarian restaurants in such different places as Stockholm and Saigon.
It's a kind of awakening that goes on!
