Copernican revolution

Copernicus learnt that that the Sun is in the center, not the Earth.

It was not a popular idea in his time around 500 years ago in Poland.


Kant meant that he made another Copernication revolution when he set our representation of the the phenomena in focus, not the phenomena per se.

But what have happened after Kant.

Do we still understand ourselves?

Probably not.

What about language, do we understand,  why we speak?

It´s suggested that small talk is a continuation of how the apes use to clean each other furs.
They do it to creat social bonds.

David P Barash suggest that language is a way to impress on each other.
Why do anyway use so many different words, make jokes and write theater plays or in blogs;~}
We may just use about 500 words to be understandable. But many of us use a lot more.

We also use words in ironic tones to make other people feel uncomfortable.

But of course there are more reasons for our language, but more than we think of the reason for language is not about the phenomena around us but for other reasons.

What about going to the moon?

What was the  reasons for it?

I sit really necessary to put people on the moon again?

When Trump is talking about it,  what is his motive?

Is it about him or the moon or both?

Is it about his reputation, his aftermath or about doing some good for the Earth?

Or is going to the moon comparable to  squirrel jumping to the top of the tree:

See what I can do!!! Oh its fun!  You cant do it!

Well if its like that, we may try to solve our problems on the earth first.

To be mindful.

To be aware, to slow down, to sometimes look under the skin of our selves.

And maybe not talk so much....

And maybe make another Copernican revolution: Maybe we are not the crown of creation.
Maybe we are not so separated from trees and the things we eat as we think.

Maybe there are no center at all....

"The center cannot hold", as Yeats wrote...

Old ideas and culture behaviors may have to brake before the new can come.

Cora Diamond is a new name for me, even if she has worked as a professor in Philosophy in the states for a long time and is still  teaching at the university of Virginia, even she is over 80 years old. I think, therefore I am NOT

So Descartes was wrong. He said that he could doubt everything about himself except that he was thinking. That proved that he existed. The word "I" is the central point here. What does it mean? Perhaps we are sure that we know the answer. Is it the thoughts? In that case - where are you when you aren't thinking? Is it your job, your title? In that case - what happens if you loose your job or change job? Is it your house, your nation? Under my course to be a mindfulness instructor, the teacher, Ola Schenström, made us ask to each other; "Who are you?" Wittgenstein and Buddha -buddies?

Ludwig Wittgenstein, the famous philosopher, reflected in the posthumously published  book "Philosophical Investigations" about the picture above; Is it a hare or duck?  He meant that we make, or must make, a statement what it is. And I suppose he meant that we often or always has to interpret the world around us. But two different interpretations can both be right! Language and thoughts controls what we see.....   You can compare with the picture of a glass. Half empty or half empty?  Who decides? Yes, it's you... And whatever you say is right.  But you can be aware of what you think. That can say more of yourself than of the glass....  You can be aware of that you always do interpretations of things that happens.  If you have a pessimistic or a naive point of view, you can be aware of the view and your statements.  Buddha and Wittgenstein were both aware of that different persons uses different perspectives.  But Buddha spoke about the "right
