Is the Earth becoming conscious ?

Is  something happening that we are involved in without to understand it?

Some say that human consciousness should be a part of science and of the development of the world. Consciousness have led us to go to the moon, has helped us make UN och to build bombs.
It has given us internet that are connecting the world.

Let's say that art, science and  infrastructure  is a part of the earth and therefore a part of the universe. It's a kind of nature made by the human mind. And the mind is made by life on earth.

Ants and beavers also build places to stay and birds sing and dance.
But they don't write books and direct films. We enrich the earth with these human phenomena and hopefully enrich ourselves too.

As somebody said; Hamlet and other fictional characters exist, in a special area that are not connected at all to for instance, science and astronomy.
So  to say something holistic about the universe is really impossible, as it contains so many different areas or levels.

So life, and specially human mind has enricht the universe - and for sure the mind also has damaged life on earth a lot. But it can never destroy life on earth for good.

Let's say that a new Shakespeare or Bach is born. What can they do to connect the world, as the two old giants  still do now?

We humans nowadays dominate the Earth like no other animal before. We know because of the discussion of the term Antropocen as an geological era. And of course because of the climate effect.

The physician with a  very creative mind, David Deutsch, means that we also can change the Earth in a positive way.  And not only the earth; but the whole solar system. We may in the future be able to control the sun, so it will cooperate with life on earth in a friendly way.

But first, I think, the Earth has to be more connected, like a kind of superorganism. Intelligence and knowledge will increase the more we can cooperate.
There must of course be regulations on, for instance the internet, so a president cannot influence security  and the stock market with a tweet.

So its possible to see, at least in the future, the earth as conscious if we can connect in a good way.
As it is right now it would be impossible.
To many of us are looking back to som golden era in our history.

But slowly a new level of consciousness and knowledge may rice.  We will learn more and more from each other and at least symbolicy it will be as if the whole earth is becoming conscious.


                             



To be mindful is to not be caught in old stories about  how everything should be.  Everything will change and history never repeats itself. So we don't exactly know how the future will be. To be mindful is also to be not too sure about about what will happen
But it also means to be open for totally new thoughts if they are not too crazy. Where hope is, there is life....

Cora Diamond is a new name for me, even if she has worked as a professor in Philosophy in the states for a long time and is still  teaching at the university of Virginia, even she is over 80 years old. I think, therefore I am NOT

So Descartes was wrong. He said that he could doubt everything about himself except that he was thinking. That proved that he existed. The word "I" is the central point here. What does it mean? Perhaps we are sure that we know the answer. Is it the thoughts? In that case - where are you when you aren't thinking? Is it your job, your title? In that case - what happens if you loose your job or change job? Is it your house, your nation? Under my course to be a mindfulness instructor, the teacher, Ola Schenström, made us ask to each other; "Who are you?" Wittgenstein and Buddha -buddies?

Ludwig Wittgenstein, the famous philosopher, reflected in the posthumously published  book "Philosophical Investigations" about the picture above; Is it a hare or duck?  He meant that we make, or must make, a statement what it is. And I suppose he meant that we often or always has to interpret the world around us. But two different interpretations can both be right! Language and thoughts controls what we see.....   You can compare with the picture of a glass. Half empty or half empty?  Who decides? Yes, it's you... And whatever you say is right.  But you can be aware of what you think. That can say more of yourself than of the glass....  You can be aware of that you always do interpretations of things that happens.  If you have a pessimistic or a naive point of view, you can be aware of the view and your statements.  Buddha and Wittgenstein were both aware of that different persons uses different perspectives.  But Buddha spoke about the "right
