Wittgenstein and the lion...

This man has mentioned a lot of interesting things, such as;

If a lion could speak, we could not understand it....

I believe he means that a lions language game is so different from ours because of it's interests and perhaps also because it uses different senses.

But I suppose we could understand a chimpanzee, at least a little...

He has also said that the wonderful thing is not why things, as you and me are, but that we are...

Philosophy can anyway not answer neither of this questions...

That reminds of buddhism and mindfulness, no use to speculate about metaphysical things, better to practise mindfulness and follow the eightfold path...

One who speculated to much is the antihero in Dostoyevsky's book Notes from Underground. He even writes himself; excessive consciousness, too much thoughts leads to paralysis. You cannot change yourself and even do anything at all..

The man in the underground thinks too much, is too conscious about himself.
This book was written on the 1900-century but I think this kind of people are more common now, I know some...

Bit if we are a stream of thoughts, many of them can be contrary...

The poor underground man had no knowledge of mindfulness - perhaps that would have helped him from his thoughts  and self-absorption.....

But then he had to exercise everyday. Make it a habit to be aware of acts and thoughts, but not be engrossed by them and should not identify himself by them. Just look at them kindly.

Wittgenstein had neither this opportunity, even if he for some time lived in a tiny hut in Norway to find some peace....

And he was sad, very sad. His feelings was in disorder even if is thoughts were not.

If have had internet - he should have sees that it is in some degree possible to understand a lion , even if it doesn't speak:
